Games & Umbrella's

Hey Guys!

As many of you are traveling from out of town and will not have a place to hang out between the ceremonies and reception, we are trying our best to accommodate you! We will have a bunch of games set up out at Blue Lake, so if you want to stay there and hang out all day please feel free too.

We will have games such as Horseshoes, Bocce Ball,  Beers Bee, and Horse balls. All of which are a ton of fun!!

Also, as we all know the weather in Alberta can change in a heartbeat!
As of today it is supposed to be plus 21 for the wedding! Lets pray it stays that way!!
We do have some umbrella's for the ceremonies, since rain or shine the wedding will be outdoors. However, if you have one, please bring an umbrella along with you, just in case!

I have issued a rain ban for August 27th, 2011, between the hours of 12 - 3 pm so lets hope someone is listening!! :)

Dinner @ 6:00 pm

The wedding party will be arriving at 6:00 so please be there before then :)

Drive Home Service & Gift Registry

For the night of our wedding a drive home service will be available to take our guests home from our reception at Blue Lake. Mountain Express Taxi will run from 11-2 am, leaving only in groups, when the van is full. This service will be prepaid by us, but please feel free to tip the driver accordingly.

Also as the wedding day quickly approaches, we keep being asked what we would like or need as a wedding gift.

Since our wedding date will be our 5 year anniversary and we have been living together for nearly that long, we already do have everything that we need. However we would LOVE a nice new kitchen table as well as a set of front loader washer and dryer. Since obviously nobody is going to purchase that on their own (Although we are not apposed to the idea :) and would be very grateful if you did, lol)  we think that money towards those purchases or towards our honeymoon trip to Mexico would be awesome.

Breakfast Arrangments for Blue Lake Guests

Breakfast at Blue Lake for Saturday August 27, will be served from 8:30 - 9:30 am

Cost will be between $12 - $13

You will dish up inside but then we ask that you eat outside on the picnic tables they have available, as all the tables inside will already be decorated for our reception later in the evening.

You will pay for your breakfast meal at check in with the Blue Lake Staff.

Once again Breakfast MUST BE RESERVED AHEAD OF TIME
so please let Ryan or I know asap if you wish to eat from 8:30 - 9:30

Important Note for those staying in the Blue Lake Cabins

For those of you staying in Cabins out in Blue Lake we want to invite you to our rehearsal BBQ dinner around 7:00 at the Powder Creek Lodge.

Plans for Friday August 26 are as follows:

Decorating of the Main Lodge / Reception Hall & Ceremonies site at 3:00 pm
Ceremony rehearsals at 6:00 pm
Supper and drinks at 7:00 - 7:30

Since there is no food allowed in the cabins, Ryan and I will supply the meal.
We will have hamburgers, salads, and of course desert :)

Also for the Blue Lake Guests, there will be a Breakfast and Lunch available on the 27th, only if reserved! There must be at least 8 confirmed guests in order for the staff to cook. So PLEASE be sure to confirm with either Ryan or myself asap.

For breakfast  they serve two hot items, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, muffins, toast, coffee, tea and juices.

Costs $ 12

For Lunch: sometimes soup, grilled cheese or tuna/egg melts or sandwiches or wraps,  salad or veggie tray, cookies 

Costs $ 13

Reservations for lunch or breakfast have to be made 1 week ahead please.
